Dr. Karie Anderson
OWNER, DVM
Dr. Anderson grew up in Cedar Park, Texas. She received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University.
Animal medicine runs in the family, as her father is also a retired veterinarian, so animals were a big part of her childhood. Over the years, she had many pets, including ducklings, hamsters, guinea pigs, parakeets, a rabbit, dogs, cats, and a LOT of foster kittens.
Her special interests include dermatology, neurology, and internal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, cooking, and spending time with her orange tabby cat, Oliver, and her husband.
Dr. Meredith Lanier
DVM
Dr. Meredith Lanier's journey in veterinary medicine began with her graduation from the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019, following her completion of a bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Iowa State University.
Rooted in the heartland of the Midwest, Dr. Lanier spent her childhood immersed in sports like basketball and volleyball, which instilled in her a disciplined work ethic and team spirit.
Since then, Dr. Lanier has seamlessly merged her professional expertise with the joys of family life. At home, alongside her husband and their 8-month-old son, she shares her love with a bustling household of three dogs and four cats. Her compassionate care extends from her patients to her family, creating a nurturing environment both inside and outside the hospital walls.
Dr. America Chapa
DVM
Starting Summer of 2025
Dr. America Chapa earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University after completing her undergraduate studies in Animal Science with a pre-vet focus at Texas A&M-Kingsville. Her journey into veterinary medicine has been fueled by a lifelong love of animals and a deep desire to serve both pets and the people who love them.
Dr. Chapa has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and is committed to creating a stress-free environment for every patient she treats. As a Fear Free Certified professional, she uses gentle handling techniques and a calm approach to help pets feel safe and at ease during their visits.
When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Chapa enjoys exercising, hiking, and taking her dogs to the park. She also treasures spending quality time with her husband and family. Her goal is to provide compassionate, high-quality care while building lasting relationships with pet owners and their furry companions.
Dr. Brindi Wilson
DVM
Starting Summer of 2025
Dr. Brindi Wilson was raised in a military family, spending her early years in Florida and Nebraska before settling in Abilene, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas Tech University and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University.
Dr. Wilson’s love for animals began at an early age, and it quickly became clear that veterinary medicine was her calling. Her parents recall her frequently bringing home stray animals in need of care—an early sign of the dedication and compassion she brings to her patients today. Over the years, she has worked with a variety of species, from researching bobwhite quail to bottlefeeding white-tailed deer, reflecting both her broad interests and commitment to expanding her expertise. Dr. Wilson holds particular professional interests in orthopedics and oncology.
Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Wilson enjoys cooking, reading, hiking, and staying active. She and her husband enjoy evening walks with their dog and relaxing at home with their two cats.
Oliver
Oliver is our charming orange clinic cat and full-time furry companion. Though he prefers to stay behind the scenes, he is undeniably an essential part of our team. Whether lounging in the staff room, chasing invisible mysteries down the hallway, or supervising from his favorite sunny spot by the window, Oliver is always spreading his special brand of feline joy.
With a mischievous streak and a big personality, Oliver brings warmth, laughter, and a touch of mischief to our workdays. His curious nature means he's often found exploring new corners of the clinic, investigating boxes, or taking a quick nap in the most unexpected places. His purrs have been known to calm the busiest of days, and his antics can brighten even the most hectic moments. Oliver might not be the first thing you see when you visit, but his spirit is felt by everyone who walks through our doors—staff, patients, and visitors alike. He’s part of the Pointe 183 Animal Hospital family, keeping things lighthearted and reminding us that even on the busiest days, there’s always room for a little fun.
